The Irishest Baby

A lady in accounting had her baby last week and she brought it to show the people at work today. I was curious to see her baby because I have not gotten to spend much time around babies except my brother, who has not been a baby for a very long time, so I sort of don’t remember what it was like. The accountant lady’s baby was very small and to my surprise, I liked him very much. He was little and wearing some kind of tee shirt with snaps that kept his diaper on or something. One of the Accounts Payable ladies had commandeered the baby and was feeding him from a bottle. He was eating from the bottle and had his eyes half open with kind of a pleasant baby type expression on his face. I know everybody says babies have small hands, but I was still impressed by his little hands.
I will not reveal the lady’s last name or her baby’s name, but she has a McLastName and she gave her baby sort of a McFirstName too and there can be no doubt in anyone’s mind that her baby is solid Irish stock.
The general ledger accountant was gone today too, because his wife had her baby last night. They are Mormons so the baby will probably get a unique Mormon name. Even though I dislike religion, I sort of have to admire the Mormons. They are so squeaky clean that they will probably live forever. Just like the cockroaches, come to think, but with khakis and better hair.
