Thresholds of the Mind

So here’s the story with this book. It actually belongs to a lady at my work who was telling me about meditation and everything one day and then she showed up and loaned me this book that has a chapter about brain waves. And since I’m terrible, not only have I NOT READ IT, I also RUINED her book. What happened is this.
It all started this spring when I realized this pair of high heeled loafers I had did not fit properly anymore, because my feet have shrunk since I lost weight, and plus the force of gravity presses them down in the shoe and they slip up in the back. So I bought these spacers this summer and they had adhesive strips that you could put in the heel, but the problem was they kind of sucked so I pulled them off and put them on my bedside table. Later, because I’m retarded, I came along and set the book on top of them, not seeing them with the other stuff there. Then I set my purse on top of that. The result of this is that they stuck to the cover and could not be removed without messing it up. It’s not dreadful by my standards, annoying, yes, but I’d rather die than give this book back to someone in worse condition than it was given to me. I mean, what an asshole I would be.
So I’m buying a new copy on Amazon for her. And since I don’t think I love her book enough to keep it, I plan to book cross it when I get a chance. AFTER I read the stuff about brain waves. She is a nice lady and I feel bad because I am a jerk.
