ACCOUNTANT BY DAY

I’ll have my new computer this week, which means that I can take advantage of time at work that otherwise would have been spent doing nothing. Since when we don’t have work to do, we, well, don’t have work to do. I’m thinking this’ll be good for my scholastic situation. I can’t wait to see my new computer.

I told the head teller and my boss on Friday that my friend had saved me like $600 off the retail value on my new computer, and they wanted to know if I was doing him a favor in return. I said I’d make him a bundt cake or something. The head teller said, “I hope you’re making him $600 worth of cake!”
