Mow It Or Tick-et

Yesterday I finally mowed the grass, but there was a big rock in the middle of the yard, concealed by the tall grass, and I hit it and had to go buy a new blade at Home Depot but the new blade wasn’t sharpened, so it was really hard to mow the rest of the yard and I was very tired when it was over and I have to get the blade sharpened before the next time we mow and also I need to buy new gas for the mower.
I also called a man to come look at our air conditioning, because we thought it might be low on freon because it kept freezing up. But when he came out he tested a lot of things like the pressure and after he looked at it for a long time he said that the low pressure was 63 and the high pressure was 200 and this was bad, but even adding freon didn’t help and the whole thing needed to be replaced in his opinion. Then he wrote all this down on a paper for me and I paid him some money and he went away. So I’m going to have to file a claim on our home warranty, I guess.
We also got a letter from the city saying that the tall grass at the bottom of our lot violates city code and we have to take care of it or we’ll be issued a misdemeanor ticket. My boyfriend’s roommate’s dad, whom we bought the house from, said that he actually did get the ticket when they were fixing up our house and it was $140 so we are anxious not to get this same ticket.
In spite of all this I like home ownership a lot and never want to go back to renting in unless my roommate and I decide to live abroad sometime with my boyfriend and do fancy things in Europe. I hope not to rent a dwelling again unless it is for recreation.
Also on Saturday we were taken out to the Cheesecake Factory for a company dinner and it was totally awesome!
