Thirst for Knowledge

I called the cable company today and asked if I could get my appointment squeezed in another day, opting for the “please oh please my school starts on July 5 what will I do!!” tactic as my leverage. Denied. Looks like it really is going to be eleven more days until internet. It strikes another morale point off my stack with every hour or so, since one of the things I do while at work is keep a running tab on a post-it of things that occur to me that I want to look up. Unfortunately I can’t take care of these now for another week and a half, so my brain is starting to feel weird and full from the buildup of things I need to look up online and can’t.
Google Research Agenda
- In-depth information on the use of gas ranges
- How do mosquitos bite you on the ass while you’re in jeans?
- Ideas for hanging kitchen implements on the walls
- Where are pet stores besides Petsmart at Johnson & Antioch?
- What’s the most poisonous heavy metal?
- Spanish vocab for check-cashing & payday loans
- Local bus schedule
- Where to get a damn phone book
On the upside, our new furniture (not from Rhodes, who’d have guessed?!) is being delivered next Thursday. It’s squishy and comfortable. I hope I have the living room sort of picked up by then.
