OMG NO INTERNET

Today’s my last day off before the big move on Saturday, and I’m out of my online classes until July 5, so I decided I would use it productively to do things like pack our few remaining items away in boxes, make an appointment for the cable people to show up, research the best lawnmower to buy, and read up on washing machine product reviews.
According to lady from Time-Warner, however, the earliest they can send somebody to come out to turn on our internet and cable is Saturday, July 10, between 11:00 and 2:00 PM. That’s two weeks from Saturday, and I can’t say for certain that a two-week drought of internet won’t wither my soul inside my body. In addition, classes resume July 5, so I’ll be having to head over to my boyfriend’s place check my e-mail and take care of academic duties on his computer. After dealing with two months worth of commuting an hour to work, dealing with near-constant internet outages at our apartment, two classes with group projects required, stress at my new store, and the hassles of finalizing purchase on a home, I know I can handle a piddly two weeks without internet, even if school is in session for five days of that.
Or I’ll be calling them up early next week begging to find out if they’ve had any cancellations.
