Prior Drug Convictions: Yes?

Today I woke at eight in the morning when my father telephoned, wanting me to walk him through the process of filling out the electronic version of the FAFSA for me for this fall. He’d accidentally answered yes to the question that asks whether you’ve had any drug-related convictions and was now stuck because he was prompted to disclose exactly what sort of drug convictions I’d had. “Should I just put something in here to get it to go away?” he inquired.
“NO!” I said, although the way I’ve put it down here is a bit of an understatement of how much I urged him not to just make up a pretend drug conviction for me. He meant well. After we got this sorted out, I was kind of glad to get off the phone, because I was getting cranky, and since he was helping me out bigtime by consenting to do this I didn’t want to act like a jerk.
When I called my boyfriend up tonight he answered the phone, “Two hundred pounds of solid steel and sex appeal!” I’ve always liked rhymes, so I thought to mention it here.
