ACCOUNTANT BY DAY

I was actually woken up this morning by a fly. It was the largest one I’ve ever seen, which I assume is the reason why it was able to wake me from a sound sleep with only its buzzing. That was around seven. Around eight, my anger and loathing having grown by leaps and bounds in the past hour, I rose and found a can of hairspray in my room. At the first opportunity I cemented the fly to my miniblinds, which I’m no longer sure was wise since it probably weighed more than Jeff Goldblum himself and will surely ruin the blinds now and I will probably lose my security deposit. I was grateful for the peace and quiet, though.

In other news, I now have a car to drive around. The 1986 Mazda finally kicked the bucket due to its massive electrical problems, and due to the barter system and a friend of my dad’s I now have a highly comfortable and superior 1996 Camry with a 5 speed. This car has the added benefit of allowing its occupants to simultaneously hear music and be cool—temperaturewise, that is—where my previous car had neither capability. Seriously, in my old car you could not run the stereo and the air conditioning at the same time! Weird, huh? This is going to rock!
